CLARIFICATION ON EXAMINER TRAINING

Lusaka, Sunday 8th May, 2022. The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) has observed social media reports regarding training of examiners. We acknowledge the error as regards the date of reporting to the training venue and wish to inform the stakeholders that the training dates are Monday, 9th May to Friday, 13th May 2022. The reporting date at the venue is today, Sunday 8th May 2022, while departure date remains Saturday, 14th May 2022.
We also wish to clarify that training will only be in small entry subjects namely: Kiikaonde, Luvale, Musical Arts Education, Silozi, Lunda, Design and Technology, Art and Design and Computer Studies.
Selection of trainees was based on the applications we received through the appropriate channel in 2021, when we trained examiners in the main subjects.
We therefore reiterate the fact that we did not advertise for training of examiners this year. ECZ remains committed to its Vision to be An Examining Body of Excellence, even through the training of examiners.
